Michigan, affectionately known as Water Wonderland, borders all for Great Lakes and is the home state of President Gerald Ford. It is considered the car capital of the world. Among  the 3 large auto manufacturers, Ford, Chrysler and Chevrolet, it is also home to over 100 other automobile manufacturers. They lead the nation in the production of blueberries. But Like many states Michigan is home of those suffering with addiction.

Michigan Addiction Statistics

  • 9.8% of youth reported their use of illegal drugs
  • 14.5% of teens state that they binge drink
  • 64.6% of adolescents do not see any harm in drinking 5+ alcoholic drinks once to twice a week
  • 4.6% of youth have used unprescribed pain killers
